I’m Rob. I’ve always loved cars, but until recently I’d never really had the confidence to take on the diagnosis, repair and restoration of complicated cars myself.

Kennedy Auto Sourcing is my attempt to change that.

With modern diagnostic tools and AI to help me research and work through problems, I’m learning as I go — taking on cars I’ve always wanted to get my hands on and seeing how far I can get.

I do the work, using AI to help figure out what to try next. Sometimes we’ll be right. Sometimes we won’t. Either way, I’ll document the whole process.

Starting With Two
Flagship V8s

The first projects are a Mercedes-Benz W221 S500 and C216 CL500 — two flagship-era Mercedes V8s with plenty for me to learn.

But they’re only the starting point. As I learn more, I want the projects to become more ambitious — different cars, bigger problems and new skills to pick up along the way.

The goal isn’t to build a permanent collection. I want to experience these cars, learn from them, hopefully give them a new lease of life and, when the time comes, find new owners who’ll genuinely appreciate them. Then I can take what I’ve learned into the next challenge.
